NX05SE 7 090 506.

A Roman coin hoard was found on 29th October 1913 on a native site at Balgreggan quarry (NX 090 506) in a small earthenware jug about 3 1/2" high. There were 125 brass coins ranging from Constantine I to Decentines. This hoard was apparently concealed about 354 AD. The jug and 119 of the coins were presented to the NMAS and a bronze centenionalis of Magnentines from this hoard was given to Stranraer Museum in 1965. (May 1965/15)
