NX14SW 25 1022 4354.

This stone stands in a field on the SW side of the drive to Logan House, about 170m N of Logan Loch; it is an irregular boulder which measures 1m by 0.8m at the base and rises to a point at a height of 1.5m. It is possibly a prehistoric standing stone, but it is not shown on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Wigtownshire, 1850, sheet 27); four other stones were set up as cattle-rubbing posts in a field known as East Thorney (NX 102 424) to the S of Logan Loch (Name Book 1848), but these appear to have been of smaller stature.
