NT22SE 1 centred 2621 2466.

To the NW and NE of the larger of the two hut circles, correctly described by the Commission, are the footings of two additional hut circles with diameters of 4.3m. and 4.7m. respectively, comprising low stone-and-turf banks 0.2m. high and 0.6m. maximum width.

The enclosure (as describd by RCAHMS) is in fact a larger hut circle and, about 120m. SE of this, there is the outline of another, 12.4m. in diameter, bounded on the N. side by a scarp 0.2m high: modern ditches surround this circle on the remaining three sides. The numerous heaps of stones within this area are for the most part grassed over and appear to be stone clearance heaps.

Surveyed at 1/2500.

Visited by OS (WDJ) 20 June 1962.

Scheduled as 'Dryhope, hut circle, cairns and field system... comprises the remains of a hut circle, two burial cairns, a possible enclosed cremation cemetery, and a field system made up of clearance cairns.'

Information from Historic Scotland, scheduling document dated 8 November 2000.
