NT23NW 11 2256 3770.

Situated on the NW face of Cademuir Hill, near the right bank of a tributary of the Manor Water which is not named on the OS map but which is locally known as the Kirkton Burn. It measures 110ft by 80ft within the last vestiges of a wall, a few blocks of the outer face of which still remain in situ. The entrance, in the NW side, opens into a narrow court, above which there is a platform large enough to accommodate two timber houses.

RCAHMS 1967, visited 1962

This scooped homestead is generally as described . The raised platfor m at the rear of the enclosure undoubtedly contained two circular timber houses c. 7m in diameter.

Surveyed at 1:2500.

Visited by OS 23 June 1971.
