(NT 1634 9325) Bronze Age Cemetery near Cowdenbeath: Sherds of pottery were found on Cowdenbeath Golf Course in Sept 1927 and further finds in October 1928 led to the identifying of six urns. Five of the urns were found in an area about 14ft. by 5ft.

One urn contained cremated remains, while a second contained the remains of a woman, and a green deposit of cuprous oxide showed the presence of a small bronze or copper object in the vessel.

The bones were examined by Sir Arthur Keith who identified Bronze Age characteristics.

A Cinerary Urn and Bronze Age fragments found at Cowdenbeath in 1928 are in Kirkcaldy Museum.

The site falls on the Western end of Tollie Hill where a low vague mound may indicate the former presence of a tumulus.

Two urns, classified as late Bronze Age, fragments of another urn and some calcined bones are on display in Kirkcaldy Museum (No accession number.)
