Two (medieval) bronze cauldrons have been found in the moss at Carwood (NT 039 401). One was in the Sim collection and subsequently donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS), while the other which has only one handle, is owned by Mr Brown of Edmonstown. Hunter alleges that Sim's cauldron was filled with gold and silver coins, but the finder would not admit this.
