29 June 1967. The vessel went ashore at Whapness, near Eyemouth, on a voyage from Hamburg to Methil.
Surveying Details

29 June 1967. The ship is reported to have been located by RAF Binbrook Aub Aqua Club, one quarter mile SE of St Abbs Head.
17 August 1970. The wreck was rediscovered by Mr Kerr (BSAC diver).

(Classified as steel steamship, in ballast: former names cited as Vnestorg, Neath Abbey and President, and date of loss as 29 April 1928). President: this vessel was wrecked at Wapness Point, Eyemouth.
Registration: Sunderland. Built 1907. 1945grt. Length: 84m. Beam: 12m.

The wreck is now completely broken up in 5-15m. The plates are covered in soft corals and kelp.

(Location cited as N55 52.185 W2 4.400 [NT 9541 6406]. President: the broken remains of this vessel lie in about 17m depth of water, the depth to the highest point being about 5m at low water. The wreckage stands generally about 1m high, and occupies an area measuring about 25x10m, being concentrated around the two boilers. Other recognisable features include ribs and a winch (presumably for anchorwork).
