There is a large cairn of stones, measuring 30 paces by 20, on top of Caldron Hill. It is not on the highest part of the hill.

A cairn, spread to a diameter of 16.0m and 1.1m high, is situated about 70m SW of the summit of Caldron Hill. Upon the centre some of the stones have been placed in a pile 2.0m high and 5.0m in diameter at base, and others have been used to construct a shooting butt, also upon the cairn.

NS 2290 5115. A cairn measuring 19.0m N-S by 14.0m and 1.2m high. Two shooting butts have been constructed using stones from the cairn, one at the centre of the cairn and the other on the NW perimeter.
