The Plash mill is shown on the OS Town Plan, Kirkcaldy sheet 7. It is described in the OS Namebook as ' a low range of buildings at present occupied by MrJames Henderson, with a bleaching green attached, used for the purpose of washing, bleaching and calendering linen yarns'.
