(NR 6952 4246) (information from D Colville to OS, 1960) On gently sloping moorland a little under 800m ESE of Beachmeanach farmhouse, and at a height of 135m OD, there is a circular enclosure measuring 27.5m in diameter within a wall 2.4m to 3.0m thick. The wall now appears as a grass-grown stony bank in which several facing-stones, both inner and outer, are visible intermittently, the largest of them measuring 1.5m in length and 0.8m both in breadth and height above ground. The entrance is on the SW and the interior, which has been under the plough at some time, is featureless.

RCAHMS 1971, visited 1963.

The enclosure is as described and planned by RCAHMS. The heavy peat growth on the wall and the mode of construction suggest the enclosure is of a relatively early date.

Surveyed at 1:10 000.

Visited by OS (J B) 15 November 1978.
