OS 1:2500 map, 1974.

(Peterhead 1: location cited as NK 137 458). At entrance to S harbour: Thomas Stevenson, 1849. Tapering octagonal tower, bull-nosed ashlar, with two projecting polished ashlar top courses and deep blocking course, forming base for octagonal lantern (Milne & Son, Edinburgh) with pyramidal roof and mushroom ventilator. Lantern glazed only on seaward side.
