NR 716 386. A dun is situated at a height of 135m OD in cultivated land 400m SW of Garvalt farmhouse. It seems to have been circular on plan and to have measured about 15m in diameter within a wall 3.4m thick. The wall is now traceable only on the S and E where it consists of a band of core material from which one stone of the inner face and a long stretch of the outer face protrude. On the SW three earthfast slabs, one standing to a height of 0.9m, indicate the position of the entrance, which is 1.2m wide.
