NC51SW 20.01 NC 5323 1488 Plough tine (cultivation object)

This is an L-shaped plan farmstead with a covered cattle court and byres, stables and a turnip house. A projection to the N contains a water-powered threshing barn (still housing a threshing machine and its drive motor), a sheaf loft and a silage pit. A modern tractor/implement shed has been built onto this. Constructed in 1882, the farmstead was designed so that all elements of the complex could be reached under cover. The buildings were in good repair and still in agricultural use on the date of survey.

Visited by RCAHMS (GJD), July 1994, April/ May 1995.

NMRS, MS/744/102.
