Cairn Knap: A number of years ago, this cairn or tumulus was opened and found to contain two cists and a great number of human bones.

Name Book 1859.

This feature is a round cairn as its stone-built composition can be clearly seen in many excavated places. Much of the cairn has been quarried away on the NW, but its perimeter can be traced showing it to be 22.5m in diameter. It is 3.0m high.
