A watching brief was carried out on a Scottish Gas Pipeline from Perth (Smeaton's) Bridge to Friarton. Finds consisted mostly of nineteenth century sherds from glass and stoneware bottles of local firms, and one half clay pipe bowl of eighteenth century date. These are now in Perth Museum (Acc No. 1983. 431-435)
