This farmstead has a U-shaped plan and comprises a byre, a former stable, a henhouse, a Dutch barn and a stack yard. The farmhouse is adjacent to the SSE. At right angles to the rear of the farmhouse, aligned from E to W, is a single-storeyed range which is now used mainly as a byre. Originally this seems to have had stables and a turnip house at the W end and opposing doors at the E end, indicating a threshing floor and straw barn. The buildings are constructed of rubble and have slate roofs. When visited in 2000 the house retained a box bed and an open hearth used for cooking.

Information from RCAHMS (SS), 27 Janauary 2006.
