(NN 8395 1920) Balloch Castle (NR) (Site of).

Traditionally a castle belonging to the 'Laird of Balloch' who was 'supplanted by the Laird of Drummond in the latter end of the Feudal times'. The last remains were removed c.1840 by the person who pointed out the site.

Name Book 1860.

Only a slight rise,with a scatter of small stones on top, in an arable field, remains to indicate the site of the castle.
