This monument comprises the remains of an enclosed settlement of prehistoric date represented by cropmarks visible on oblique aerial photographs. It lies in arable farmland at around 70m OD at the foot of a steep slope, and comprises a roughly oval enclosure measuring some 40m NW-SE by about 30m within a ditch approximately 4m wide which has a SE-facing entrance.
