NM32SE 9 3876 2176.

There are the remains of a standing stone and cist at Sheepknowe (Sheepknowe Cottage: NM 386 218).

Argyll County Council 1914.

NM 3876 2176. Situated in an inconspicuous position in pasture land is an upright stone measuring 0.7m high by 0.6m wide with a long slab abutting its W side. There is no definite trace of cairn material in the area, and these two stones, although possibly having been part of a kerb or cist now display no conclusive evidence of having been such.

Surveyed at 1:2500.

Visited by OS (DWR) 23 April 1974.

Cairn (possible), Sheepknowe Cottage: A low grass-covered stony mound situated 120m SE of Sheepknowe Cottage may possibly be the remains of a prehistoric cairn. Measuring about 8.5m in diameter and 0.3m in maximum height, the mound contains two upright stones at its centre, but in the absence of excavation the significance of these stones is uncertain.

RCAHMS 1980, visited 1974.
