NJ91SW 1 c. 90 14.

A silver chain 1ft 5 1/2ins. long, composed of twenty three double circular links with a penannular ring engraved with the 'S' symbol was found in digging 1 mile east of Parkhill railway station, and was presented to the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland as treasure trove in February 1864 (accession no. FC 147) The date of the chain is about AD 700.

No further information obtained. Parkhill station (NJ81SE 50: now disused) is at NJ 8900 1443.
