The manor house of Kingswells bears the dates 1666 and 1855, and was occupied at the time of Charles II. For a long time the house was ruinous, but was restored in 1854.

A plain, much-restored mid-17th century building, with 19th century additions on the north, south, and west sides. A stone inscribed '1666 :1713 :1855' is over the main door.

NJ 8621 0640 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken between 4-11 September 2007 on groundworks

associated with the installation of a septic tank, connecting pipework and the construction of a filter mound soakaway. No archaeological features were encountered during sub-surface excavations. What appears to be a well was identified immediately to the W of Kingswells House.
