This cist was discovered on 9th September 1954 by workmen bulldozing trees from Bught Park. It contained a male inhumation accompanied by a bronze dagger, now in Inverness Museum (955.15-16). (The find-spot was sited to approximately NH 6560 4373 by J McKenzie in a letter to OS dated 28 August 1962. However, Miss Henshall states that the correct site may be at NH 6571 4372, according to the grounds man at the caravan park who was present at the discovery, and who keeps the grass at the site unmown - oral information to OS, 8 July 1966.)
