(NH 525 874) Carn Bhren {NAT}

OS 6"map, Ross-shire, 2nd ed., (1907)

Carn Bhren or Carn Breathainn. There is a legend connecting it with Fingal's dog Bran. He entered a cairn there and was never seen again. It means Raven's Cairn.

W J Watson 1904.

Carn Bhren is a hill with broken natural outcrop on knolls in abundance. There is no trace of a cairn on or around it.

Visited by OS (R D L) 21 May 1963.
