The RCAHMS copy of OS 6"sheet 2nd ed., (1903), bears a note 'Erd House' pencilled against this area. A search has yielded no trace.

RCAHMS 1984, visited September 1982.

The Orcadian newspaper mentions a subterranean chamber on January 10th 1863.
