A Viking finger ring of three, slender gold rods was found at a depth of 2'5" in a peat bog at Marrister (HU 543 460), in May 1921. It was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) by the King's and Lord Treasurer's Remembrancer in 1921.
