OS 6" map, Shetland, 2nd ed., (1903).

A grass-covered mound 8' or 9' high, which, viewed from the shore of the loch, appears to be the remains of a broch. No causeway was visible.

RCAHMS 1946, visited 1930.

'A circular building overgrown with grass generally known to be the remains of a 'Brough... and in good preservation'.

Name Book 1878.

A broch mound, measuring about 15.0 metres in diameter, with an apparent entrance in the east. No wall faces are visible beneath the turf covering, and no causeway was seen.
