HP50SW 2 centred on 528 049.

A church is said to have stood at the western end of the sand in Daall prior to the erection of St Olaf's Church at Ness (HP50SW 1) in the 14th century.

J T Irvine 1898

Shetland Museum records the existence of the houses of Daal in the area centred HP 528 049, but now practically covered by sand. (Probably the fishing community mentioned by RCAHMS - see HP50NW 1).
