HU24SE 1 2841 4277.

HU 282 429 (Calder 1965) A mound of burnt stones lies 150 to 200yds from the beach at Wester Wick.

RCAHMS 1946, visited 1931; C S T Calder 1965.

The mound has been levelled to provide material for a new road. Two pieces of pottery generally resembling broch pottery were found among the material as well as parts of stone implements. The sherds are now in the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS).

At HU 2841 4278, a scatter of burnt stones and blackened earth remains to mark the site in a cultivated field.

Surveyed at 1/2500.
