An enclosure occupies the SE end of a ridge immediately NW of the buildings of Pinhoulland farm. Its SE arc is straddled by the wall of a D-shaped enclosure that adjoins the farm buildings and is depicted on both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Shetland 1882 & 1903, sheet xlvi). Roughly oval on plan, the enclosure measures about 19m from NW to SE by 13m transversely within a wall robbed to a thick, grass grown stony bank. This bank appears to overlie the SE end of another enclosure that continues along the ridge to the NW (see HU24NE 176). The interior is littered with shallow quarry pits and has been used more recently to house a feed bin stance.
