The 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire and Buteshire 1875, sheet xliii)shows an unroofed house at the south-west end of an enclosure here. On the ground it is evident that there may well have been a second building at the north-east end of the enclosure. There is no visible sign of either house now but turf dykes enclose the area.
