Gothic boathouse in style of farm buildings at Hall of Tankerness (OR 47), later converted to house a windpump which is maintained in working order. RGL Apr 79

The masonry filter house and pump room was built in the late 19th century when the pump was powered by an oil engine. The present windpump replaced the oil engine in the early 1940s. The windpump was made by Climax, Horsham, Surrey. The tower has 4 legs of rolled steel angle section.
