Rock shelter (NOSAS Site Survey No 033) located amongst large boulders on a steep SE facing slope W of the Loch Luichart Dam, above and just 60m N of the farmstead of Soulmarksie.

The chamber of the shelter has been constructed under a large flat-topped, rectangular boulder, 8m x 3.5m lying on a NE-SW axis. The chamber is accessed through a short stone lined passage roughly 1.5m in length, 0.9m high x 0.7m wide which descends from the rear of the boulder entering the chamber under a lintel 0.5m above the floor level.

The floor space of the chamber measures 3m x 2.5m and provides a maximum height of 1.5m under the inclined roof formed by the underside of the boulder. The back and side walls are of neat drystone construction combining in-situ boulders with other rocks and laid slabs.
