Leith, 12th May. The GARIBALDI (st. tug), of this port, while speaking a vessel off North Berwick, came into collision with her, and sunk immediately, having had her bow stove in.

North Berwick, 11th May. The GARIBALDI (stm. tug), of and from Leith, whilst speaking a brig off this place, to-day, came in collision with another brig, was cut down to the water's edge, and had to be run on shore to prevent her sinking: she is full of water: crew saved.
