Keig Parish Church, 1834-5, John Smith. Excellent Gothic rectangle in vigorous, squared granite, whose crisp details are perfectly judged and never overstated. The west porch and pinnacled bellcote, the angle buttresses, also deftly pointed, and the (wooden) perpendicular tracery in the windows have, particularly on a sunny day, a faceted, scintillating appearance which lifts the spirits. Internally, the gallery was originally U-plan; much remains including the brass lamp standard and other oil fittings. Interior re-arranged, 1891, William L Henderson; further alterations, 1902, A Marshall Mackenzie.
