The 1972 Ordnance Survey 1:10000 shows two roofless buildings on the western bank of the Crombie Water, about 200m west of the building named Eskemore. These ruined buildings represent the remains of a small farmstead probably occupied in the nineteenth and early-twentieth century.

Reference to the 1st edition of the Ordnance Survey 6-inch map (1872) shows a small steading named Eskemore, which comprised an L-shaped building adjoining a smaller building. Both structures are depicted as roofed. A smaller building stood to the south, also shown as roofed, and had a small enclosure to the rear.
