A small bridge crosses the Eden Water near Mellerstain House. It lies within the Mellerstain policies, and carries the road which runs south from the house.

The bridge, which probably dates from the late eighteenth century, has a single segmental arch. It shows evidence of later rebuilding, with the addition of a substantial rubble wall coped with large, roughly hewn stones.
