The farmstead of Loinherry lies on the west side of the Burn of Loinherry to the north of the River Don. The cottage and steading are depicted on both the first and second editions of the OS six-inch map, and although no longer occupied, they remain standing. The remains of a horsemill are visible to the rear of the steading, and a sheepfold is annotated on both maps a short distance to the north-east.
