This oval, heather-covered burnt mound is situated on the S side of a burn, with an old stream channel running past on the S. It measures 10.3m from ENE to WSW by 5.9m transversely and 1m in height. There is a slight hollow on the SSE, which may have contained a trough. Lifting a sod revealed cracked, reddened stone and charcoal set in a matrix of black soil. Two adjacent mounds appear to be of natural origin, possibly tree-throws.
