Evidence for discovery: found in a garden near the church in Rosemarkie in 1998.

Present condition: broken along three edges and worn.

Description

This is part of the right-hand side of a tapering recumbent gravestone, carved in relief with a roll moulding along the edge and two stylised plant forms springing from an inner raised band.

Date: fourteenth or fifteenth century.
