Measurements: H 1.20m, W 0.26m, D 0.10m

Stone type: Torridonian sandstone

Place of discovery: NG 2691 0540

Present location: in the burial ground at A’ Chill.

Evidence for discovery: found in the burial-ground at A’ Chill. It is likely to have come from the earlier burial ground close to cross no 12.

Present condition: water-worn and broken into two fragments.

Description

Towards the top of this pillar-like slab is incised a Latin cross with forked terminals.

Date range: seventh or eighth century.
