Lancefield Cotton Works, 87 Lancefield Street, built c.1826 for the Lancefied Spinning Co. The original part is a five storey, attic and basement square dressed rubble building, 5 by 23 bay. This has been extended to the north by a five storey, 13 bay ashlar block, probably built 1877 for Thomas Brown, storekeeper. In an angle formed by these adjoining buildings are two detached five storey red brick warehouses, one of which was probably erected in 1890.
