First established in 1956, this river level monitoring station stands on the south (west) bank of the River Clyde at Hazelbank. It now comprises little more that a rectangular hut with a flat roof but there was formerly also an aerial cable way here which was destroyed in a storm in 1998. The level of water in the river is now measured using a float in a still well.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, AGCH) 24 March 2015.
