Scope and Content Handwritten inscription on reverse of print: 'Stone Basin for holding the holy water into which to dip the stones called the Priest's feet in at the Old Columban and ruined Church at Nereabols, Islay. In upper cemetery. May 1925. View No.2'. Handwritten inscription affixed to negative: 'Kildalton, Islay. Basin near entrance to ruined Church'. The inscription on the print would appear to be the more accurate labelling. It is also described in MS 405/1A, pp, 89-91.
