Description 1 sheet - general notes, 1980 2 sheets - map extracts 1 sheet - rubbing & sketch from glazed pipes by 'Glenboig Coy, Cumbernauld' (Cumbernauld Fireclay, c. 1889-1969); the pipes made up a bridge nr Gaversta, Lewis, until dismantled 1981 (road bridge). 1 b/w photograph : of the above site with dismantled bridge & Cumbernauld fireclay pipes : B 10054; 12/6/1981. 6 items - re: opening of Palacerigg Country Park Permanent Exhibition, which was to include a section, "The Cumbernauld Fireclay Works"; 10/5/1983. 9 sheets - letter from B.R.Thomson, responsible for the Palacerigg Country Park Exhibition to SIAS, including description of intended exhibition , & enclosing 8 page copy of script to accompany graphic panels describing the fireclay works describing : fire-clay processes: the making of bricks and pipes ; A Brief History of the Cumbernauld Brick & Pipe Works; Pioneers of the Scottish Fire-clay Industry: James Dunnachie, John G Stein. 1 sheet - notes listing vitreous fireclay works operating in mid-late 60's ; made 15 Sept 1977 by unknown.
