Scope and Content View of Inchpark Hotel and Parklands Hotel, Nos 1-2 St Leonard's Bank, Perth No 1 St Leonard's Bank is an early 19th-century two-storeyed house. It is covered in harling and has a string-course. No 2 dates from the mid-19th century, and is two-storeyed with attic dormer windows, consoled door and bay windows on the ground floor. This shows the two houses in 1975 overlooking South Inch Park. The earlier house (right) has a very plain façade when compared with No 2 with its painted details and bay windows. A fire escape (centre) was added when it became a hotel. These large 19th-century houses would once have been the residences of single wealthy families, who had servants to maintain them. Today, large houses like these are converted for use as hotels, nursing homes, or are divided up into flats. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
