Scope and Content Morning Room, Inglewood, Tullibody Road, Alloa, Clackmannanshire In 1900, the architectural photographer, Harry Bedford Lemere, was commissioned to photograph the interior of Inglewood, home of the wealthy industrialist, A P Forrester Paton. The house was designed by the architects, Sydney Mitchell & Wilson. The library or morning room is finished in pine, painted white, and has arcaded walls lined with an exuberant flock paper. The walls are fitted to mantelshelf-height with bookcases with glass doors, and arranged with bric-a-brac and family photographs. The morning room was a room, in addition to the formal dining room, where individual members of the family would take breakfast, and where the lady of the house might receive guests and give instructions to servants.
