Scope and Content Fort and temporary camp at Dalginross, Perth and Kinross This Roman fort and temporary camp are at Dalginross. Both were recorded by General Roy in 1793, when they were visible at ground level. They are now only visible as cropmarks, and are bordered by a modern housing development. This is an aerial view of the site. The fort can be seen in the lower half of the image, as a series of cropmarks. The fort had some form of annexe or outwork that can also be seen. Above the fort is the temporary camp. Both sites have been partially excavated. The camp may have been more than a simple labour camp for the fort, however, as it may have had two phases of use.
