Scope and Content Peter Pan Mill, Kirriemuir, Angus This electrically-powered corn mill was a conversion from a former Secession church. It was a small-scale unit, making oatmeal and animal provender. This view shows the mill from the south east. The three large first-floor windows were part of the church; there was originally a fourth, to the right. Industrial conversions of churches were not uncommon, but they were generally for workshops, warehouses or garages. This was one of a very few high-grade conversions. Peter Pan was written by JJM Barrie, who was born in Kirriemuir. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
