Scope and Content 'Our Dynamic Earth', Holyrood Road, Edinburgh, from north This photograph shows the centre as it appears from Holyrood Road: access is through an amphitheatre that has been used during the Edinburgh Festival. The white fabric canopy is attached to glass and stone walls using a technique that allows movement of up to a metre. The exhibition has exhibits on the formation of the earth and its environments. Inside, visitors can learn about evolution, experience tropical rain and the earth shaking beneath their feet. 'Our Dynamic Earth' is a visitor centre located on Holyrood Road in Edinburgh. Open to the public since 1999, the building is also used as a performance space, conference centre and party venue. It was designed by a London-based firm of architects, Michael Hopkins & Partners.
