Scope and Content Rossdhu House, Luss The area of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park contains a rich variety of archaeological sites and historic landscapes, which continue to have a major impact on the environment today. Rossdhu House, on the west shore of Loch Lomond, was the seat of the Colquhouns of Luss. The central block dates from 1772-3 and the wings were added in the early 19th century The house now serves as the clubhouse of the Loch Lomond Golf Club. During the Improvement Period (c.1750-1850) many landowners rebuilt their houses on a grand scale and established extensive policies around them. Today, many of these houses and their policies have been converted to more public recreational uses. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
